Frequently Asked Questions
What To Expect From Your Denver Remodel
Will there be dust?
Yes... and... Sally has high standards for her job sites. We do everything in our power to protect your home from the temporary disturbance of a construction site. Having seen crews that do not consider their mess, we only work with subcontractors who share our value of maintaining an organized work site.
How do you bid a home improvement project?
Some contractors bid by estimating per square foot for similar jobs, and then they adjust along the way. We offer custom bidding. This is time-consuming for us, but we like to know as much as possible before going into a job and we think that you do, too. Contact us for an estimate specific to your project.
Will you stick to the bid?
There are sometimes unexpected issues that arise, depending on the complexity of your job. We adapt within the bid as is possible and reasonable. When this is not possible, you can count on us to communicate in a timely, comprehensive, and professional way. Sally is always available to assist you in making the best decisions for your project.
What if I want to make a change to the project?
Change orders happen regularly. Once the project starts to take shape, homeowners often see additions and other changes they would like to have made in the house. We do our best to accommodate you in building your best nest. You can count on us to communicate clearly about the additional cost and complicating factors with every change.
Who will have access to our home during the remodel?
In order to finish the job our staff and subcontractors need access to the worksite. We only work with folks that we trust in our own homes. If you have particular concerns, you can strategize with our owner Sally Loomis. We understand the vulnerability of having strangers in your home to make changes. We support you in finding a way forward that is comfortable for you and feasible for the team.
What hours do you expect to be here?
Sally Loomis is a mountain biker and adventurer. She wants everyone to finish their days by 4:30pm (still time to ride Green Mountain before the sun goes down) and have weekends free to play. We do our best to stick to her goal so that you have private time in your home. Sometimes the pace of the job requires a weekend or evening to keep everyone on schedule. We will communicate carefully with you beforehand and along the way.
